    Stores and Fieldwork Operative. Salary – Starting from 22k+ site pay (subject to experience)

    We are currently recruiting for a stores and fieldwork site operative based out of our Manchester office. The successful candidate will enjoy physical work, be looking to learn new skills and have practical problem solving skills. The role may lead to learning how to operate equipment such as diamond coring and specialist hand tools. This role is a mix between being on site, and being in the office to maintain the store room.

    • Salary and site pay for each day worked on-site

    The role involves occasionally visiting sites nationwide to undertake various investigations such as, but not limited to;

    • Excavation of trial pits by hand.
    • Operating hand tools including breakers.
    • Assist in moving equipment and plant from one location on to subsequent investigation points.
    • Undertake soil sampling as directed by the site engineer.
    • Diamond coring
    • Any other duties related to the investigation process as required.

    The role also involves time in the office to manage the storeroom which involves tasks such as;

    • Day-to-day management of the store; general maintenance and tidying.
    • Day-to-day management and control of all stores items, field equipment, consumables, vehicles and associated spares.
    • Receiving and checking stock, and issuing materiel to teams.
    • Responsibility for routine maintenance and cleanliness and serviceability of equipment in store.

    Training will be provided by the company cover safe working and operation of equipment, as well as for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. You will be expected to sit the necessary courses, medical, drug and alcohol screening tests as required. Training costs with respect to these and other approved training schemes are met by the company.

    Licence/Certification:

    • CSCS (preferred)
    • driving license (required)
