This included facilitating laboratory testing on samples obtained during the investigation. Finally, we undertook long-term groundwater and ground gas monitoring following the completion of fieldwork.

This was done in compliance with government lockdowns and guidelines at the time (e.g. 2m spacing). Our proactive approach was highly commended by National Highways Regional Delivery Directors.
Artesian water was encountered during the investigation. We highlighted the risk to the Client and potential impact it could have on construction. Subsequently, we provided consultancy services to the Client in risk reduction meetings.
