Lossiemouth East Beach Project Overview

Lossiemouth East Beach is a major tourist attraction and therefore has significant importance to the local economy. The existing bridge over the river was closed due to structural defects and therefore required replacement.

Scope of Works

After an initial commission of a geotechnical desk study the scope was expanded to include:

• Design, execution and interpretation of a ground investigation
• Preliminary pile design
• Working platform design to facilitate crane lift of the bridge

We were able to provide a single point of contact for all geotechnical issues and thereby streamline the process.

We worked with the Client and our supply chain to modify existing plant and cross the River Lossie in a pragmatic and cost-effective manner. This involved meticulous planning with respect to tide times.
