At Soiltechnics we have an in depth understanding of the residential industry, including refurbishment and new build developments. We have experience working with major property developers as well as private individuals, including large housing estates as well as mixed-use office conversions.
Residential areas are increasingly important as there is widespread acceptance that there is a shortage of housing in the UK. We work with developers to identify key ground risks at potential brownfield and greenfield sites. We then mitigate these risks at selected sites through further investigation.
Recently we were instructed by Taylor Wimpey to support their development situated between Cedar Meadows, Knebworth and Woolmer Green. This consisted of residential houses and apartment blocks with private and communal gardens. This project was complex as the site was partially occupied by an existing warehouse, as well as a dense area of mature trees. As part of this project, we undertook a ground investigation with laboratory testing, highlighting key ground-related risks and presenting possible mitigation options.
“Soiltechnics has provided a range of soil reports, ground investigation surveys, remediation strategies and verification reports for parks and open space improvement projects in Southwark.
