A working platform provides a stable base from which tracked plant, such as piling rigs, can safely operate.
Clients regularly come to Soiltechnics to provide a working platform design for their piling rigs. We initially review the available ground investigation information to determine the subgrade strength. If necessary we undertake supplementary investigation works targeting the shallow soils.
The design of the platform is undertaken in accordance with BRE 470 (Piling) or CIRIA C703 (Cranes). Alternatively, if requested, we can undertake the design in accordance with the guidance published by the Temporary Works Forum.
